Ernest (Ernie) is the founder and principal dentist of Photogenic Dental, graduating as Dux from UWA. Ernie is passionate about the local community and has a vision to create Perth’s most comprehensive, preventative dental practice loved by the whole family. In his spare time Ernie loves playing basketball and spending time with his 4 kids.

Dr. Michael Welten

Michael has been a good friend of Ernie’s for over 10 years, both playing on the same basketball team back in the uni days. Michael was also a former owner of Parkwood Dental Centre (now Photogenic Dental) and son to Dr Frank and Yee Sang Welten (Parkwood’s original dentist owners and respected university dental tutors). Michael and his wife Amy moved to NYC to support Amy’s studies in Opera. At this time Michael volunteered with local community groups in providing support for the homeless. The great news is he is back, permanently working at our Mt Pleasant practice amidst loving his wife and 2 young children and playing as much golf as possible.

Dr. Damon Williams

Damon is an award winning dentist receiving accolades including the Eric Williams Prize in Prosthodontics and the Sally Joyston-Bechal Study Group Prize. He is passionate about young people fulfilling their potential, running community youth programs in his spare time and rising up the rankings of Amateur Disc Golf competitions. Damon is a wonderful dad of 2 children with Dr Rachel and a keen sportsman and loves the West Coast Eagles.

Dr. Yvonne Go

Yvonne is our most decorated dentist with a Bachelor in Medical Science and Post Graduate in Dental Surgery. She loves kids (and has 2 herself with her husband Derry) and is keenly interested in paediatrics (kids dentistry) and orthodontics (Invisalign). Yvonne loves Asian cooking (the more complex ingredients the better!) and has volunteered as a Sunday school teacher at her local church for over 10 years.

Dr. Rachel Williams

Rachel graduated dentistry as Dux of her year with the highest scores for Anatomy, Clinical Practice of Prosthodontics Component of Restorative Dentistry and winning the Needham Memorial Prize Scholarship. In her spare time Rachel volunteers as a youth worker mentoring teenagers. She also loves gardening, healthy cooking, music and photography and has two beautiful children with Dr Damon.

Dr. Sean Heah

BDsc (Hons) WA, PGDIP CLINDENT (ORAL SURGERY) OTAGO, GDIP CLINDENT (CONSCIOUS SEDATION AND PAIN CONTROL) U.SYD

Sean is an AHPRA board endorsed I.V sedationist with extensive oral surgery training in Australia, New Zealand, London and the USA. He focuses his work to dental implants, wisdom tooth removal and minor oral surgery along with dental sedation. He has a keen interest for treating patients with severe dental anxieties. In his spare time Sean enjoys photography, playing guitar and going fishing and is a wonderful dad of 2 young children.

Dr. Carolyn Chiew

Carolyn has over 15 years experience in family dentistry and was the recipient of the Australian and New Zealand Society of Paediatric Dentistry Undergraduate Essay Competition in 2005 where her work was published in the ANZSPD publication, “Synopses”. She

specialises in preventative and aesthetic dentistry and has a passion for creating handcrafted smiles. In her spare time she enjoys running marathons, playing the piano and being part of the music and choir at her local church.

Dr. Ezra Oon

Ezra has been practicing dentistry for 18 years. He splits his time between private practice and working within the public service where he works as a senior dentist in both adult clinics and the school dental service. Apart from dentistry, Ezra is passionate about running, tennis, photography and travelling.

Dr. Grace Kan

Grace graduated from The University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Dental Science with honours. She gained experience in the Oral Health Centre in Brisbane and Hervey Bay Dental Clinic before moving over to Western Australia. Since then, she has practiced in Bunbury and has now decided to move to Perth. Grace places importance in providing a comfortable experience to all patients. With her bubbly personality and a constant drive to provide quality dentistry, she strives to help patients have a pleasant experience. Grace has a special interest in restorative and preventative dentistry as well as root canal therapy. Outside of dentistry, she enjoys exploring new eateries, dancing, playing board games, and travelling.

Jocelyn Ho

Oral Health Therapist

With over 10 years of experience focused on cleaning and improving clients oral hygiene along with assisting dentist in their everyday procedures, Jocelyn has worked closely with Dr Ernest Yeo since 2018 in collaboratively managing his patients needs. She is the oral hygiene ‘queen’ of the practice and comes from a family of dentists herself. When she isn’t cleaning teeth she is significantly involved with her local church and enjoys singing and cooking and eating delicious food.
